Musicians from all over the world will come to Cremona for the 4th Bluegrass Meeting that will take place within Cremona Musica International Exhibitions.

• The 4^th edition of the Bluegrass Meeting will take place within the Acoustic Guitar Village in Cremona. Bands and solo artists for a total of over 40 musicians will further enrich Cremona Musica International Exhibitions

Cremona – A music genre that inevitably leads our thoughts to the Kentucky bluegrass loans, in the wide region of the Appalachian Mountains, from the gulf of St. Lawrence River up to Alabama. It is in this territory that extends for 2.500 km parallel to the US coast, that in the 18^th century the musical traditions of Scottish, Irish and English immigrants met each other thus originating to the so called Bluegrass Music.
There are many bluegrass music lovers and musicians all over the world and the Bluegrass Meeting, that until last year took place in Sarzana, Liguria, is one of the major international events of the sector. Moving the Bluegrass Meeting from the festival in Sarzana to the Acoustic Guitar Village in Cremona is the strategical project of Alessio Ambrosi and Danilo Cartia. Mr. Ambrosi organizes, together with the cultural association Armadillo Club, the events on stringed instruments that will enrich the 2016 edition of Cremona Musica International Exhibitions while Mr. Cartia is the soul of the Bluegrass Meeting, now in its fourth edition.

AMBROSI: “NOT ONLY GUITARS, BUT ALSO VIOLINS, MANDOLINS AND BANJOS”
On saturday 1^st October, from 11 pm to 6.30 pm, over 40 musicians will take the stage in Cremona. “There will be solo artist and bands playing this music genre that was born in the US and that is commonly called American country. The meeting will include both concerts and jam sessions. The bluegrass music genre is characterized by the use of different stringed instruments, that’s why we don’t have to think only about guitars, but also about mandolins, banjos and violins. In Cremona you will find all these instruments, but above all there will be great musicians”.

The Bluegrass Meeting originated in Sarzana under the coordination of Danilo Cartia and boasts great guests such as Tim O’Brien, Russ Barenberg and the duo Mark Johnson & Emory Lester. While waiting to find out the names of the outstanding protagonists of the 4^th edition, the organizers explains that in addition to the traditional concerts there will be showcases, meetings and workshops for musicians and bluegrass music lovers. A plenty of small events building up a major event of great impact and recall. “I think that the Bluegrass Meeting will inevitably increase the audience of the Acoustic Guitar Village – continues Alessio Ambrosi -. Until last year, it took place in Sarzana but this year Cremona Musica International Exhibitions will focus on it. That’s why, also thanks to a rich and varied programme, we are expecting an attendance five to ten times higher than in 2015”.
