Cremona Musica International Exhibitions 2016 (Cremona Exhibition Center – Friday, September 30th – Sunday, October 2nd) registered a visitors attendance much higher than expected, thus showing a great improvement both at quantitative (+10% in comparison to 2015 with over 16,800 visitors) and at qualitative level (with the participation of several professional musicians). As a result, the international image of the Exhibition is much stronger and its role as world leader for high-quality musical instruments is more and more important. The relevance of the Exhibition is also supported by the opinions of the 300 Italian and international Exhibitors who underlined the uncontested centrality gained by the Cremonese Event within the Exhibition Scenario worldwide.
The internationalization activities developed by CremonaFiere all the year long did give a substantial contribution to the outcomes of the Exhibition and therefore to the unanimous appreciation of the protagonists themselves. Visitors and delegations from 55 different countries and, in particular, the official buyers delegations from the USA, South Korea, Japan (with the support of the Italian Trade Agency – ICE) and China strengthened Cremona Musica international dimension. Of particular importance is also the fact that, one year in advance, many exhibitors have already registered and confirmed their participation in Cremona Musica International Exhibitions 2017.
In his comments to the record edition of Cremona Musica – with half of the 300 exhibitors coming from 28 different countries – Antonio Piva, President of CremonaFiere, expresses all his satisfaction: “Apart from these extremely positive figures, we are particularly proud of the great enthusiasm that pervaded Cremona Musica. For three days, our Exhibition Center turned into a true international capital of music. Cremona Musica, with its large audience of visitors and with exhibiting companies from all over the world, is a precious opportunity for our Country and for what it represents in terms of culture, art and production. During these days CremonaFiere organized and promoted 120 events of high cultural level. A particular mention is for sure deserved by the Concert of the Sistine Chapel Choir. Held Saturday night in the Cathedral of Cremona, it aroused unforgettable emotions and completed in the best possible way the great musical offer of this amazing edition of Cremona Musica.
